That means I don't have to wear a sanitary pad or tampon with them but can simply bleed straight into the fabric without worrying about leaking! I thought I'd educate a few of you about periods, seeing as it's evident how little people (including people with vaginas!) know about them!! π³ As you all know, I love being as realistic and honest about bodies as possible. So here is a little blog post I've put together π π» Water retention increases during a period, meaning that bellys are more bloated than usual, and weight is usually gained! π» MOST women get INCREDIBLY horny during their period (myself included!!) and having an orgasm can sometimes help with rotten period cramps! π» The period blΓ²od changes colour throughout the week - ranging from a pale pink, to a dark and deep brown! Basically goes through the ENTIRE red/brown/pink spectrum! π» The bloΓΈd isn't the only thing expelled! The lining of the uterus that has been built up during the rest of the month is also shed, meaning that clots as big as 10cm can sometimes be expelled! π» Body pain is usually very common! Along with uterine cramping, muscles in other parts of the body may ache, such as the kidneys, legs, etc. π» Bowels are more 'open' so constipation ceases to exist! Bonus for me π π» As well as being bad for the environment, pads and tampons have been known to increase the risk of UTI and vaginal infections! This is why I now free bleed or use reusable, cotton period pants or pads! π₯° π» People with vaginas are just as worthy of attention and love when they are on their period as they are off it π Let me know if this has educated you or you have learned something you didn't think you would!
