Here are the last two photo's from the set The idea behind..
🕑 Added 2023-12-08 10:00:09 +0000 UTC Here are the last two photo's from the set The idea behind these pictures was to capture the scars on my arms, to try and transform them from an bad memory to something beautiful. I don't think i've share much about my scars or the depression that created them. I don't think i'll go very deep but at it's base when I first realised I was trans I kind of saw it as a curse, like i'd also be seen as a freak unable to be loved for who/what I am. I guess it was a sort of internalised transphobia, but coming from a very religious household it also made me question if I would end up going to hell simply for expressing the person who I really am... I've since been able to heal tremendously from this way of thinking, I no longer struggle with depression, i've learnt to love myself, to accept that I am worthy of love. ( You all have helped with this journey <3 ) So all that being said these photos are a way of comparing the scars on my arms to the thorns on a rose, a painful part but undeniable part of what makes the rose such an attractive and powerful symbol of beauty. (Thanks for coming to my TED talk)
