Bro... this animation was so fucking goooooood😭😭😭😭😭 I too couldn't even comprehend what the hell was going on, it was so smooth, clean and fun looking. I love current one piece so much, and I love gear 5 so fucking much. There was like a contrast between Zoro vs Lucci and Luffy vs Kizaru. One fight was sharp, serious, snappy and fierce and the other one was more fluid, detailed, very creative and super FUN to look at. We saw how light goes through Luffy's body, like his whole body was lit up from so many angles. Or when Luffy ate a LASER, turned it into rubber and let it go through his entire digestive system and it looked soooo cool. Gear 5 potential is truly limitless, and the animators are having a time of their life working on it. I bet it's grueling to work and deliver such amazing stuff, but it's so worth it.

yeh some better sound effects could make one piece so much better cause i just recognise all the sound effects and they haven't really changed in 20 years

I remember this episode sparking a little controversy. Basically, one of the animators was frustrated that, while the animators have done so much to upgrade the series in the last years, the anime still uses the same few sound effects - often recycled from the early days of Dragon Ball - in endless repetition. Like, Luffy vs Kizaru is a visually stunning, super creative fight that uses the same two laser sound effects a million times. His words were: "The sound in One Piece is devastatingly bad, so I hope something is done about it as soon as possible... This episode was really sad because of the difference between the overwhelming animation and the terrible sound."
