I disliked Gear 5 at first, for being too silly. After a while I felt it fits Lufy perfectly though - and now that Toon World aspect/reference made me actually like it :D

I believe Shanks might have knew what that fruit was, and was fully aware of it's potential, he might've wanted it for Ace being the son of Roger and who he thought would succeed him, but then luffy ate it by accident, and at that moment Shanks might've understood that the fruit chose Luffy, you can see that he was annoyed but wasn't mad that luffy ate it

Animation wise? Personally, I prefer the Kimetsu no Yaiba Upper6 fight. Or rather, I don't like the "washed" style, like at 4:30 where all the edges look all blurry. They seem to love that one in Wano, especially in Onigashima. And it's really hard to tell what's going on sometimes. There were moments where they did this in monochrome, which looked great (similar to when Luffy punched the Celestial back in Shabondy). But otherwise I don't think it's cool, but rather overused and looking kinda, well, sloppy. At least to me. In comparison, the Upper6 fight was as flashy, but looked way more crisp.

By the way Kaido knows everything about awakening, yet his devil fruit has not awakened... i think its because he doesnt trust in devil fruits. as he said he believes that only Haki is the way to go

Head ups - 1084 is filler that can be skipped And (Might be too late on this one) watch all of 1076 from directly after the intro it looks like old stuff but it has some of my favourite visuals that reactors can miss

i have to admit i dont like gear 5. i dont like this toon stuff in general... if this was anything other than one piece, i probably would stop watching. The lore and the characters are still amazing, but i dont get warm with the animations and the goofyness. I liked it in the manga, so it could just be the sound effects, i dont know
