[1:30] .... this is my "hear me out" [14:44] I think being confined on the island for so goddamn long, with only Oden's Journal as her real company made her have a little screw lose. You can tell here the whole ordeal had left her quite traumatised. I think even the "I'm Oden" thing was just one way of coping. [18:10] Can't believe Ace defeated her with talk-no-jutsu, though. Especially since he too has his issues. Which, funnily enough, only went away after finding his father figure :P

There's a Chinese myth about carp swimming upstream against a strong river current. However, few can make the leap up the waterfall (like the big carp at the beginning of Wano). At the top of the waterfall is the Dragon Gate, and it is said that once a carp leaps over the Dragon Gate, it will transform into a dragon.

just like gerard lelouch said, the fish fish fruit is kaidos devil fruit. When a koi fish swims up a waterfall, like the ones in wano for example, the koi fish will turn into a dragon (like magikarp -> Gyarados)

Kaido’s fruit is the Fish-Fish Fruit; model Azure Dragon. (This was stated at this same time in an SBS). It comes from a myth but Kaido was still always a dragon. It’s not a Dragon-Dragon Fruit because those are all dinosaurs. In Japanese the word Ryu is both their word for dragon and dinosaur which is why the Dragon fruits are dinosaurs.
