Otama possesses the power of the Millet-Millet Fruit. It allows her to make dumplings made of millet that can magically tame any animal that eats them, causing them to obey Otama’s orders. The devil fruit is based off the legend of Momotaro, where a traveling boy makes some animals his friends by giving them dumplings.

The bat guy resisting Luffy was filler and I don’t know why they added it. Luffy should be eviscerating these fodder smile fruit users.

@26:10 that white stuff that Urashima (big sumo guy) threw was salt. Sumo, as a sport, is rooted in Japanese religion/myth and salt serves as a purifier of evil spirits from affecting a match. Also good catch on the slicing of the topknot! This is a little strong BUT imagine knocking off the crown from a king. The topknot (Chonamage/丁髷) was a symbol of social status in Japan. So cutting it off is a big deal. Wano is dope and glad y’all are enjoying it 👍

People sometimes complain about how silly they are, but I loved it because otherwise zoan fruits are kind of the most "bland" among the types. You simply are an animal and there's nothing inherently super creative to do with that, except now with the Smiles the way the animal manifests can actually be interesting abd surprising.

The smile fruit users and their goofy, wrong animal bodies is maybe the best joke over the course of this arc. They are like Zoan devil fruits but ordered on wish.com On another note, I love Kiku. Maybe my favourite Wano character. I just think she's neat.
