So basically yes she is actually cursed, if she doesn’t have intercourse for a certain amount of time (like a few days). in the book on this journey to the kingdom they get lost for a few days and she starts to get rashes and pale like actually dying sick since she couldn’t get a man. So hopefully that helps clear stuff up.

In the LN there is no mention of Fitz being Sylphy, so like Rudeus the reader doesn't know. The novel handles that aspect in a very interesting way, it's a pity that it's something impossible to adapt to anime since it can't be hidden visually.
