The weird thing about the ability to steal devil fruits from someone who just died is that it isn't something exclusive to Blackbeard's powers. Burgess just had some sort of bag and a knife when he was threatening to steal fruits in Dressrosa.

The first episode I felt was really rushed. There were also some cuts that made scenes feel weird such as Nami and Usopp's introduction which has fake Nami just teleport over to Nami with no explanation. I did enjoy the second episode and felt like that one went really smoothly. I still haven't watched the third episode. Personally, I always felt like the Sabaody segment was really good the first time around. It's the actual Fish-Man Island stuff that will improve with the new cut especially the battle at the end. There were plenty of moments in that battle that just dragged on. I am looking forward to see how that goes.

I heard some people complain about the remastered fishman island arc feeling rushed now, so I guess whatever Toei does, people just like to complain about something for the sake of complaining. I personally enjoy it so far, because the animation is dope and the important and iconic moments seem to be in it without unnecessary fillers. Also the opening for the arc is pretty cute.
