btw the cg use in anime is typically when the director decides it would be be more cost efficient to do it in cg, which is almost always the case with dragons nowadays bc of how many moving parts and details they have. it would use up a chunk of budget, and the dragon would probably be sick, but only for the 2-3 minutes it was shown 😭. that’s why i always appreciate a good hand animation on monsters these days because most anime follow the cgi trend unfortunately.

that quote from Kirito is probably one of my all time favorites, about dying with someone then letting than watching them die alone. Idk , always stuck with me. Choosing to suffer with someone so they don't suffer by themselves in that moment of sorts.
