This anime is definitely up there with the best of the best. PLUS Mugen gotta be one of my favorite characters because you hardly get any Ryukyu/Okinawan representation in anime.

The whole soundtrack for this anime is great. It's a collaboration between Nujabes and Fat Jon and the album is called "departure". It's so good, I still love to listen to it even years later after watching the anime, because it's such a vibe. The opening is by Nujabes, who was a japanese music producer and DJ, who's music is a great mix of hip hop, jazz and soul. Sadly he died in a car crash in 2010.

Omg, I love this show. XD Ironically, I was just listening to an anime mixed playlist and had one of the EDs for this series playing when I saw this pop up. The big three from Shinichirō Watanabe was this, Cowboy Bebop, and Wolf's Rain... but I preferred Champloo and Rain over Bebop. Champloo is great for a laugh, and Rain is great for a somber story to follow. I've watched all three in English dubs, too, and they hold up very well.

Idk what that intro was but i enjoyed the absolute randomness of it, it fit so well with how random the episode was with all the jumps and scratching lol.
