Most of the pedophile stuff stops after episode 8.. survive until then and the show becomes really great. The only defense I can think about is that, that is how the world used to be up until a few centuries ago.. it's kind of realistic in a way.. still disgusting by todays standard though.

Yeah, this entire story is literally just character development for every character. Rudy is 100% a piece of human garbage at this point because he's supposed to be.

This is an amazing show and has incredible writing but you have to keep in mind Rudy is a piece of shit. This is a hard show to watch when it shows you stuff like this

If you want to check out comments aniwave always has a lot. My take-away for this episode is that Rudy is mentally stunted and not aware that his actions have consequences on the people around them, or that he just doesn't realize they're actual people with feelings and boundaries he should respect. He thinks of this world as some form of game. Last episode he realized he was really there and he could die, but now he needs to realize other people are real too. Remember he locked himself from the world at middle school, and spent 20+ years in the world of internet, games and pron. He has had almost 0 mental and social growth from then. I like that the show doesn't shy away from showing that this is how an actual person in that situation would act like.
