I've been holding off watching this for a while now... maybe I shouldn't have. The animation and soundtrack is just amazing. Way better of an adaptation than I thought this show would get (maybe I'm traumatized from the Otome Game Sekai anime adaptation, which came out at the same time, and was garbage in comparison to this one episode). Also quite different from the manga adaption in the way it started (at least as far as I remember - it's been years). Not as comedic, and far cooler than I remembered. Though I'm not sure which one is closer to the light novel. Either way it's a great start! Man now I wish Otomege Sekai had this adaptation. Not just animation wise. But with that kind of serious undertone despite the comedic moments; and none of the grim stuff left out. But it's too late now.

I have not seen anyone mention it but there are multiple sets of subtitles for this show and some of them are really bad. they have weird translations, butcher some of the jokes, etc. unfortunately this is one of the bad subs. The official subs should be the best.
