Gear four has really grown on me. It's goofy, but cool. So Luffy. And a big bang to end this arc. Speaking of; it had some stretched moments. But I fully agree with Prez here; it was a great arc! Impactful scenes, lots of puzzle pieces falling into place, and strong flashbacks. An epic finale and emotional ending. And so many wonderful characters. From Viola to Gyats. The Tontarra to the Arena Fighters. Bartolomeo and Fujitora. Everyone 😭 And heck, Mingo, too. He was a great villain!

Mihawk wins without a doubt. If Mihawk is the world's greatest swordsman, and Silvers Rayleigh is also a swordsman, then that would mean Mihawk is somewhere around that level.

Pacing in manga is always subjective, 'cause some people read faster then others, so what may seem perfectly-paced versus the anime can be hard to gauge. That being said... I still enjoyed my time with Dressrosa, even if it did overstay its welcome now and then.

As Crocodile was punched out of the underground into the sky, the heavenly Demon Doflamingo was punched from heaven into the earth. Great ending to the fight. Regarding the birdcage, yes it was a whole year. I don't know what people here think, but I remember people at the time and in discussions for years afterwards fucking hating the birdcage. Imo it was illogically invincible and overpowered, overstayed its welcome way too much and wasn't even relevant most of the time, considering the star game was almost immediately cast aside. Doesn't help that it is not that interesting as a threat/concept, and it is extremely difficult to visualize (the threads are simultanuosly 10 inches and 10 feet apart from each other)
