I know this is late, but I totally understand Prez when he says he has little investment in the series. On paper, everything about Fire Force is great, bet the reason I dropped it (years ago) was because there simply wasn’t that “thing” that makes you wanna keep going.

I feel you, had exactly the same feeling watching this show. It’s great, I enjoyed it. But you don’t feel that attached to the characters like I did with other shows.
