The reveal of what really went down with Stan and Ford is such a tragic tale. I feel bad for both twins, as Stan didn't really MEAN to cost Ford his future, it WAS just an accident... but he could have told Ford what happened so he had the time to fix it. But again, to be kicked out of the house with no support, when he's still technically 17-18? That's rough. And even after all that, Stan was so hopeful to reconnect with Ford when he got called back to visit him in Oregon. Ford was also unreasonable with not wanting his book to get destroyed, despite telling Stan to take the book and hide it far-far away... I dunno, they're both in the wrong, but you feel for them both at the same time.

i've always been more sympathetic towards stan in this situation, sure ford didn't go to the school he wanted, but in the grand scheme of things was being kicked out without any support whatsoever a proper punishment? and yeah, stan shouldn't have reacted like he did in the portal room, but let's be honest, ford wanted him to hide the journal but had no real intention of actually destroying this so called "dangerous" knowledge
