something you guys said in the end that if Luffy wanted to be the king of pirates he'd have fought WB later on in the series, and i just wanna say that i'd like to think that if marineford didn't happen, and Ace happened to encounter Luffy later on as big pirates fighting over the title, Ace would give it his all against Luffy and won't hold back, bc he has faith in him that he can surpass even his own older brother. i feel like Ace always believed that it's Luffy who's gonna become the pirates king not Whitebeard, but yeah +Since Ace's journey ends here, (unfortunately). thought i'll tell you that Ace actually has his own novel and a manga adaption by Boichi, the one who drew Dr.stone manga (the manga and novel are not the same btw so i'll recommend both), tho it's still not very safe to read them now, maybe when you're 600 eps in then they're safe to read

I remember crying like a lil bitch when Ace was thanking everyone, and this scene with Garp saying "You'll know as you live" Absolutely beautiful, considering that Ace really did find the answer to his question - yes, he deserved to be born and loved, and he was so grateful at the end and died with a face without any worries and a gentle smile, like he had a nice dream. Rest In Peace As for Luffy... Knowing his character, this might be the deepest scar he ever taken

Yeah absolutely don’t get worried about being speechless for portions of this ep. It really is a testament to all involved with how well ace’s death was done. The voice acting, music, and animation is stunning (literally).

Garp is the hero of the navy, he has too much prestige, if he did attack akainu it would be a major issue for the marines, their prestige would plummet, pirates would become extremely arrogant leading to much larger losses of life in villages etc. Sengoku is smart enough to know all the consequences to the ordinary man. Either way, I really wanted him to attack akainu to the max. damn ace, why did you turn back!!
