The force isn’t good nor bad but can be tipped out of balance to where either the light side(Jedi) or dark side (sith) use of the force can be diminished or heightened. At this point, the dark side has built up power in the shadows to the point where the Jedi high council can no longer see far into the future and thus the use of the force has diminished it's not that Siddious is actively using the force to do this

Now that Game of Thrones reactions is almost over for you. I don’t think there’s no better option than Star Wars to replace it. You’re going to love this franchise I hope you get started on clone wars, the animated series as soon as possible 😁
