Regarding the translation at 19:46 and your guess what he'd call them: There's a little misconception here. Maybe it's because I watched the fansubs back in the day. But they had a long winded explanation during the east blue saga, regarding their translation of "Nakama" - which is more akin to comrades. So friend is close, but crew mate wouldn't have been far off either. It's people sharing a common goal, a dream; a companion on a journey or who went through the same hardships; that sort of thing. Can be looser, but also deeper then friendship. Well, it's okay in a translation. But if we're talking about bonds between people in one piece (or other anime), there are nuances /rant

Though I think that at this point they are more than that, like you said at 18:23 - family (it's also probably why oda said he'll never "ship" any strawhat with each other, and why he forbid the live action to make any romantic undertones within the crew: because they're more like family). 23:58 She worried about Kumacy 2.0, I mean Zoro :P

Jinbei is really underrated in these episodes. He was THE mvp in reaching out to Luffy and making him realise what he still has. He was a close friend to Ace, and god damn he will be a close friend to his brother. I love that big fish uncle.

Remember how Dadan has always been terrified of Garp all those years but when it came down to Ace's death she didn't hesitate one bit to hit Garp❤️ also this's one of the things i love about Ace is how he was so worried about Luffy's safety while he was literally about to be EXECUTED, like it's insane how selfless this man is😭😭 Btw fun fact, the flowers on Ace's grave (the red ones) are the same type of flower that Rouge (his mother) used to wear on her hair another fun fact is that Ace and whitebeard's graves exist in Universal Studios Japan also the thousand sunny so yup
