It's a shame the anime doesn't do the cover stories as Django becoming friends with Fullbody (that's the guy Sanji was beating up during his introduction) and joining with him and the marines makes him and them showing up again during Alabasta much more memorable.

In Japanese “-men” is typically added to the end of noodle dishes. But Oda being a fan of puns added in “Ikemen” which roughly translates to “cool guy” and “Gomen” which translates to “I’m sorry”. I guess that’s just how you keep an arc based on various forms of torture pretty lighthearted lmao EDIT: lol I forgot about Saldeath. It sounds like “saru-desu” which is “A monkey” Oda got puns for days.
