Btw i don’t know if you guys realised but the last One Piece video you guys mentioned something about Luffys mom being Garps daughter but it’s actually Dragon who’s Garps son that’s why they all got “Monkey D” before their name. It was mentioned back in Water 7 when Garp pulled up on Luffy and his crew.

you learned back in Enies lobby that if you eat more than one Devil Fruit you basically implode and die. the guy just meant "he ate a devil fruit?" as in he didn't know Buggy was a devil fruit user already

The Buggy Cover Story and the Straw Hats Separation were also animated. The rest of course haven't been.

So the line about Buggy eating a devil fruit is actually a translation error, “He is a devil fruit user?” Would be the correct translation. Also in the manga there is a thing called cover story in the beginning of every chapter that explains a lot more about what happens to other characters. For example, how did Jangos went from a pirate to a marine and became friends with Fullbody. Unfortunately the only cover story that was animated is the story about Garp, Kobe and Helmeppo.

Also, I'm sure you figure it out later in the video already but when they talk about Buggy ate a DF, they meant his original one. At least from what we learned during Enies Lobby, it's impossible to eat a second one or you'd die (Jabra was afraid of the fruits when Kaku and Kalifa ate theirs if you recall)

As you were wondering when Buggy met Ace: we saw this in the show around the Jaya arc, Ace shows up on Buggy's ship and Buggy told his crew not to mess with him, so they had a party instead. It's just before Ace vs Blackbeard happened so it seems Buggy was captured on the side to the deal Blackbeard made about Ace
