First time in the series where we genuinely can be angry with Aang and it's good episodes like these exist rather than have him be the perfect 12 year old all the time

Think of Appa like a best-friend dog that you've had as a puppy growing up from childhood to adulthood. Or in Aang's case, 12 years of his life. I understand his anger, but to lash out at everyone else when Toph tried her best... Yeah, it's rough. He just needed to get his frustration out, but he didn't really have anyone appropriate to take it out on until the one who stole Appa made a reappearance.

I understand how frustrating Aang was in this ep, got me heated too first time watching but if you think about it Appa and Momo are like the only living companians he has left from his culture/people. So yeah if it was me too I'd freak the heck out n might do some crazy stuff but again yes, he was a bit off getting mad at Toph.

The Paisho piece payoff is so solid! It puts into perspective as to why Iroh diverted a whole ship just to get a single board game piece.
