Yeah I think that’s legit. Realistically, little kids are not able to really digest the type of information we as viewers expect them to know. So it makes sense they will learn it as they get older.

Boruto has been rebelling Naruto since Academy so that would since he was 8-9, so they didn't really communicate much then. But before that, they only talked about the current people alive Ig, like Boruto already knew Konohamaru, Kakashi, Tsunade etc before the others in his class. I mean obviously Sasuke as a criminal is highly classified information since he's a citizen of the Leaf, but yeah we expect too much..the people in the Narutoverse are not like us viewers lmao
