It’s been a whole year between chunin exams arc in the manga and the mujina bandits and ao arc. His “bratty” personality in the manga is just due to the writing cause it was written so early into the series that they didn’t know how much boruto would develop.

The reason why Boruto still seems kind of immature is because this happened right after the Mujina Bandits arc and the Chunin Exams Arc in the manga. They actually changed Boruto's reactions to these situations to make him seem more mature in the anime believe it or not. In the manga since it hadn't been too long after episode 66, Boruto still had some of his bratty personality.

Boruto has matured greatly, its obvious he isnt sraight away going to accept scientific ninja tools, he understands about the good and the bad that comes with them. He is also more focused on the idea it gives you power you didnt work for (you yourself didnt like the fact a Nara clan jutsu was used by it), so Borutos mentality towards it is fine at this point and he will only learn more
