Up until this point the anime has been giving subtle hints about Gon. People have been commenting on how Gina personality is, coupled with his potential. Wing and uh..the I forget the dudes name...the met in Yorknew before the auction the guy who makes shit lol. Anyway they mentioned how Gon is likely to be a beast, not just because of his potential strength but his very simplistic attitude towards life. Simplicity is not always rooted in good nature. Once Gon has a goal, he will do whatever to see it achieved...WHATEVER...and that can be extremely dangerous for anyone who’s in the way of that goal or just...around lol. Gone character is so fascinating as an anime protagonist. He’s one of my favorites.

Bisky just too good they had to sideline her on a technicality lol. She had less time to react than Hisoka and managed to clear her whole body (minus her big ass clothes) as opposed to Hisoka who only managed to lean back.

I’m not looking for flawless characters and Gon is interesting due this flaw combined with his pride and arrogance. I still don’t like it because those are traits I hate in life or anime. Another is Luffy who is also selfish which is something I don’t like but not as bad and pronounced. I like Gon’s arc as a character it’s fantastic but he himself not very much

His attitude now will play a huge roll later on so don't get surprised by it, it may seem cute , but this is one of the major flaws he has and it starts to become more apparent

Gon is especially selfish. That's his main flaw, more than being a naive. I dont mind it, I dont like perfect characters. Naruto is a brat, he talks big and shows next to no humility, Gon is a selfish kid doing things the way he wants, Goku is so battle focused that he doesnt even care if people dies because of his needs. Every good hero is flawed.

I don't hate it, but I don't ever deny that everyone has some degree of selfishness even me, it's realistic. What Boruto did was also realistic (build up of desparation from pressure of acknowledgement) but I love both of em..and I don't like flawless robotic heroes. And Ging is my favorite character, so you know I definitely understand it lol
