i must agree with you one thing for the white fang, he really choose make a really bad decision for killing himself and let kakashi alone like that, but at least, he didn't choose that for nothing.. i mean, for me ,when he killed himself, was not for like : "okay i should let my comrades died for the mission that day " but more like " i'm happy to die for my comrades, even them turn me down for choosing that, go fuck yourself evryone." That must be terrible to see even the people you save trashtalking you for that.. it's like if Rin saying "Hey obito, you such a idiot go saving me, you the worst " or if naruto save the villager and still trashtalking him, it's really like konoha at those times didn't tolerate love. i wonder why. For me, naruto at least a just kid, but he can think for himself " i will become hokage when i grow up" white fang was already an adult, you don't have that utopia to becoming something greater like becoming president or becomins astronaut at thoses ages most of the time, he deal with the present. that my point of view.

Sakura came in clutch here! and yeah if you think about the hypothetical, if kakashi dad doesn't die, kakashi doesn't turn bitter, he def goes right away with obito to save Rin and they have more time to make a plan to save Rin.
