I heard that a lot of those " Filler" Episodes were Requested from the Author of the Manga himself. Since he couldnt include it anymore in the Manga and he dont want to written dozens of Side Story based Mangas, he implanted the Ideas directly into the Anime.

The kakashi and itachi arcs are definitely worth reacting to. There's a lot of episodes in the war arc that aren't manga canon but flesh out the battles and other characters and worth watching. 376-377 are a flat no, and 394-413...sigh. Could have been a great arc, but poorly written, only a few cool things, and the timing of it is pure torture. You could react to it, but I dont know how many people will suffer through it and you'll probably get irritated waiting to get back to canon like I did.
