🕑 Added 2024-01-08 14:14:34 +0000 UTCShikaku Nara had a very bad feeling about this meeting. But he decided to join this meeting anyway. Because he saw this as the chance of salvation.
Ever since that cursed day, thousands of people were living in this hell. But the demon has done a great job painting and decorating the hell. Almost all of them are thinking that they are actually in heaven.
Still remember how hopeless he felt when she came like an unstoppable force of nature. He thought that everything would be over. But it didn't happen. He can see her motives now. It was all for reputation.
Shikaku wasn't one of those lucky once who were spare from this cruel fate. But he has met the demon lord many times during her visits.
And from what he has obsorved about her personality, she is someone who liked to live in luxury without a care in the world. All this research and development have her own personal goal hidden behind it. The people around her are just benefiting from her pursue of luxury.
He could guess why she erased the entire hidden leaf village from the map. After that show of power only an idiot would approach her in an hostile manner. Not to mention it will be great for her reputation based on fear.
Shikaku thought about their lives so far in this rebuilding country.
There are some simple rules they have to follow here. And as long as they follow these rules, they will get food water clothes and shelter to live a peaceful life. But there is only one fate is waiting for you if you accidentally or knowingly break these rules. Thinking about it only The King of idiots will be knowingly breaking these rules set by the demon lord herself.
No work no food(Applicable to anyone above age twelve and below age 60. Only exception were sick or pregnent)
Do not waste even a crumble of food.
Do not fight between each other.
No stealing from others.
You have to follow every order of a patreon, if he or she ever order you.
And obviously no killing each other.
If anyone break one of these 6 rules then there is only one fate for them.
They will become the next meal of the demon lord.
At first glance there is nothing wrong in these rules. In reality everything was wrong.
For most of the shinobi who didn't have any useful skill except for killing, were forced to work as labour.
It was pure slavery for those who can use chakra. They were forced to work more than 15 hours a day.
A little slacking off and you can go to the hell of torture by your handler and supervisor.
He was lucky that his skills in office works saved him. His wife, Yoshino was forced to work as a semstress. And Shikamaru was lucky enough to find the job of assistant supervisor in the construction department.
His friend Choza Akimichi and his family were lucky enough that they got their resturant.
Not to mention their entire clan gained a lot of favour directly from the demon lord when, one of the cook in their clan won over her with his food.
For someone as powerful as the demon lord, she has lost most of her sense of taste. And apparently she can only taste blood and flesh.
Apparently it was the first time in many years that she has tasted normal food. The man was immediately promoted to one of the royal chefs of the demon lord with a lot of privileges that many would kill for.
Thinking about chefs, no one can forget that man. Teuchi Ichiraku, The lord of cooks a title given by the demon lord herself.
After knowing about her problem of taste , Teuchi prepared such a ramen that it made the demon lord cry in pleasure.
Not all of the shinobi clans were lucky. Especially clans like Hyuga. If you of them were lucky enough to get a job as a security guard. But most of them, even the clan head was forced to work in the construction site.
It was a cruel fate for them.
And it was better not to mention about the civilians.
Only presence that was calming them down, was the second Hokage. Apparently the demon lord has decided to appoint the zombie of the second Hokage as the leader of the inhabitants of the new country.
A country, where there is no war, no freedom but only peace.
But as they say, humans are intelligent and stupid at the same time. Many of them wanted freedom.
And that little spark of rebelliousness for freedom has created a faction inside the growing country. At first he ignored the actions of this new faction. But somehow now he himself was entangled into these troublesome things. If not for the second Hokage himself joining these rebellious people, he would never have thought about joining this meeting in a million years.
But as he said, he has a very bad feeling about this.
