I think they're saying jealousy isn't really its own emotion, it always has some other feelings attached to it. Like if your friend was spending more time with a stranger you might feel afraid of losing them, which comes out as jealousy.

Fear of abandonment was my big one that needed uprooting and it always manifested as jealousy.
