Nekojishi: Lin & Partners Project Update - March 2025

Artwork Progress
Today we’d like to share the current look of Lin Hu in the game!
Early on we struggled a bit with the direction we’d take the art style for the game— along with some artists changing due to various circumstances. Here you can see some of these iterations along the way:
During 2021, the team from Astatos took over character art for L&P which is what we’ve been showing since then! For the big cats, the sprites have been primarily referenced from Jacketbear’s original designs, along with the sprites and CG from the original Nekojishi.
We hope to present a familiar but fresh take on all three big cats this time around!
Keep in mind that only this final iteration was fully completed with the multiple outfit layers, expressions, and poses needed for story scenes. Plus we'll keep on polishing the artwork on our side too until the release of the game.
3D Scene Progress
This past month we finished the polish pass on the Lian Shan Group office building level, including fixing textures, collision, and lighting.
Blob shadows have been added to characters in indoor scenes.
Wrapping Up
