Thank You + Celebration Event!
🕑 Added 2019-01-10 18:43:44 +0000 UTCYou really like to push the Goals I see - thank all of you so much! :)
It motivates us a lot to see the number of Patrons rise over the time!
And as promised, once we hit the 500' Goal, we will do a celebration event with a lot of goodies for everyone!
We need one week to create + prepare everything but here are the details so far:
When?
Next week on 19th January at 7pm until 20th January 7pm.
Location?
Use the Teleporter in ECC EGS HQ to enter the event.
How?
After you used the Teleporter you are on a PvE planet full of goodies you have to discover, explore, solve Puzzles or shoot them to get many items. For example Gold Ingots, Commodity Items, Alien Container (HWS Reputation Points), Auto Miner Cores, Epic Weapons and more.
No worry, most of these goodies have a Personal Container, so everyone has the chance for the loot.
But for some big goodies it is recommended to not be the last :)
Thanks to our Patrons, everyone will for sure be the winner!
---
And now?
The 500' Goal was the last one we had until now. But it seems to be a nice incentive to check Patreon out from time to time and enjoy your stay even more, if there are always Goal to reach, right?
So I added 7 more Goals, this time for sure not reachable within 3 months (I hope ;) )
A general reminder on the way I set up goals. You see already that they are a kind of "revenue" for you. Checking out other Patreon pages it does not seem the "normal" way. The others mostly have stuff like "if goal x is reached, I can buy a Pizza or better Computer" etc.
I don't know... while this is the spirit of Patreon, I still focus rather on your wishes than mine.
And even if some Goals are normally something I would do anyways without Patreon (Goal 1, 4 and 7), it can be seen just as a "Motivation Boost" overall :)
Goal 1
More PDA Missions for everyone. If you want to contribute we can implement some HWS Patron missions with your ideas for everyone as well.
An old TODO on my list. You can poke me here even more!
Goal 2
Annoyed by the 10 second chatbot cooldown?
For Patrons there will be an incentive now.
- HWS Pro only need to wait 8 seconds
- HWS Survivor 6 seconds
- HWS Veterans 4 seconds
- HWS Elite and Meta 2 seconds
Many requested this by now and just another nice little convenience we think.
Goal 3
Your OAM is full again but your OCD empty?
We will implement a connection between these lovers, so you can activate that OAM ores are put into your OCD straight away
- For HWS Veteran and up
This is in some situation a great convenience boost, if you have room in your OCD
Goal 4
The EGS HQ building is waiting and waiting for all 36 Stargate Missions to be activated. That goal will definitely boost me to make that priority real! :)
More fun for everyone!
Same here. It's an old TODO and a not so easy / fast thing to do. Creating one (good) Mission takes about 3-6 hours, if you put really thoughts into it from A-Z.
While your money can't speed up this process I get at least a poke that you see it as worth enough.
Goal 5
While we will never sell HWS Garage ships for real money we think it's fair that loyal Patrons get an ingame discount for them!
- HWS Pro get 1% discount per ship for credits and RP
- HWS Survivor get 3% discount per ship for credits and RP
- HWS Veteran get 5% discount per ship for credits and RP
- HWS Elite get 7% discount per ship for credits and RP
- HWS Meta get 30% discount per ship for credits and RP
This was suggested by the Community and is very interesting. I think it's a nice incentive without breaking the philosophy here. What do you think?
Goal 6
An experiment about Cross Selling (and maybe removing Support Packages for real money all together in the future?).
Patrons get a discount for Support Packages based on their pledge level.
Note: this can technically only work in HWS Connect!
- HWS Pro get 1% discount per Support Package for Euro and HWS Ingots
- HWS Survivor get 3% discount per Support Package for Euro and HWS Ingots
- HWS Veteran get 5% discount per Support Package for Euro and HWS Ingots
- HWS Elite get 7% discount per Support Package for Euro and HWS Ingots
- HWS Meta get 30% discount per Support Package for Euro and HWS Ingots
Another interesting suggestion we want to test out. Only issue could be the knowledge, that you really can only make use of it in HWS Connect, where we can keep track of your Patreon Level. What are your thoughts about that?
Goal 7
An unbelievable Goal but just in case who or what comes first it goes into the development of HWS Connect 5.0 with seamless experience and automatic Patreon pledge detection. It also opens up further features such as Orbital Factory and HWS Skill Tree 2.0 with more Skills for your Player for everyone.
The ultimate motivation poke for me because it's the ultimate TODO on my list. HWS Connect 5.0 includes a complete new backend handling with great benefits afterwards for you. Even with easy compatibility to port it later to Android / Apple devices.
It will be also the foundation for the Orbital Factory (similar to OAM but producing Ammo for example) and HWS Skill Tree 2.0 (Origin specific Skills and more than 1000 Health for example).
But that upgrade needs roughly about 3 months straight to code for me.
Let's see who reaches that "goal" faster ;)

That's it! Please leave a feedback in the comments below and excited to see where the journey goes to, but definitely appreciate it a lot so far!
Kind regards,

I had to adjust the Goal pledge amount, because I don't want to promise something I can't keep eventually. Especially since I really want to focus now on Events and improved overall gameplay.

The Starterplanets are excluded (=PvE). But rest works fine. Well, for OCD level <5 you need to be in the OCD Zone though ;)
