This is both a question and a recommendation, have you thought of entering the Gundam series? Want to see your review of Gundam Thunderbolt. This Gundam series is not canon though you need a little knowledge of the Zeon and the Federation, but after that, it is most coolest and most jazz-filled, musically driven Gundam series. I recommend watching the first movie and then starting the manga, you could watch the 2nd, but you will not understand the story as most of it is skipped from what was in the manga. Also, I recommend starting the manga from the start or after the 1st movie, the manga art, and story don't disappoint. The 1st movie in itself is cool without involving further, but if you want another Gundam manga series I recommend Origin and Turn A.

Any thoughts on Baby Steps? The manga's fully released so now it can finally be unreservedly recommended to people since it's my favourite sports manga of all time. On a related note, would you even consider yourself a fan of sports manga, or do you feel more like you just like good stories and Slam Dunk and others happen to resonate considering your own experience? Genre's an interesting topic to think about considering how many manga fans seem to silo themselves within a genre (hit-by-a-truck, slice-of-life, etc.) and seemingly become accepting of a lot of (lazy) tropes due to the low expectations with these categories of stories.
