I agree, and really hope she survives. This was especially painful to read, because it's so hard to see if she will. On one hand some like Erin and Klbkch have survived or recovered from equally bad situations, but on the other characters who are given time to get attached to don't. It makes reading a wonder and terror, with a very believable world and very wondrous story, with epic but believable twists, long and painful periods of waiting and hoping for another surprise return, yet great joy and satisfaction whenever things go right. I hope and fear for the Niers Astoragon story, for what it might or might not reveal.

I wonder if the Doctor manages to survive, if these series of events manage to unlock a saint class. because based on this worlds standards I think she qualifies.
