What will be in R6.9?

As some of you may know, the next release will be the R6.9, a tech/content update! It's a little short detour before we dive straight into the delightfully spicy domain of our brothel mistress, Nitlix!
Now, what will be in R6.9?
There are two reasons for the update:
1) Fixing all the bugs, technical issues, and other similar little or bigger weirdnesses!
2) Adding minor content and other additions that would be too small for a major update.
So, let's take a look at both.
The first one will be less visible, but no less important. The opposite, really! This is because, beyond the correction of all those pesky minor bugs that are currently peppered throughout the game, the R6.9 will bring one much more important thing: a fully fledged save compatibility system.
The entire game was very much rewritten for this purpose (it's already done!). As such, it will have two effects; for you, it will mean that starting with R6.6, all saves will be compatible with future releases. All old saves you use with the game will also always be updated to the latest version (= transferring all your progress), ensuring you won't have to start again!
On my side of things, it means that the work will be much smoother and worry-free about breaking your saves!

There will also be some added (much-requested) functionality; for example, the Gallery replays will now show the name of your character, and not just an empty/preset name. Autosave tab is now back again in the load menu, the inventory navigation and item manipulation were smoothed out, and much, much more!
Point 2 will bring all kinds of (minor) goodies! First off, all the remaining Codex entries that were still without a picture will receive one. The achievements icons will be updated to look better, and more.
The biggest change will probably come in the sound department that has been sorely lacking; sex sounds will be added to multiple scenes, and the game will receive multiple new music tracks! This is a small test run of things, before a dedicated sound/music update that will come later.
There are more changes, like a great number of grammar corrections, and small changes/additions throughout the text, and others.
And that's about sums it up! It has been a while since SP received a proper "cleanup" update, and I think that it is sorely needed.

During Ginny's Bar Job 2 (the one where you serve drinks), you can talk with her in the bed. If you ask her about Pirates and then Carmine, you'll get it unlocked! You can also wait for next update, because I'm gradually adding more chances to unlock all Codex entries!

But from what step do I find any reference to Carmine in R6.9? I can't find that path no matter how much I go back and forth... Can you give me a hint?

Ginny will most certainly get a lot more content, starting with R8! She is part of the main cast, after all!

Thank you very much for your kind words, CooCoo! From time to time, tech updates are very much necessary, and this one will be quite valuable, too, especially because I won't have to worry about ten different things potentially breaking everyone's saves anymore! More Carmine soon!

Oh lawd, we techin'! Anything that makes further work for you easier, or at the very least with fewer headaches along the way, is good news for us all. More music and additional sfx is also a welcome surprise, especially with what's already been featured in-game π As far as badass pirate queen-aesthetics go, I'd say you've nailed it with Carmine here. Elegant, smoky, and aged to perfection π

I'm fully aware that the game is quite quiet, and it is something that's being worked on! Ultimately, I would like to have sound effects for a lot more interactions, and some music playing in most scenes!

The fully fledged saved compatibility system is greatly appreciated. Plus I love that you plan on including more music/tracks. I do love the current tracks that are in the game though they are heavily spaced out to the point where there are times I have to check to make sure I didn't accidentally mute the game :). Regardless, looking forward to this tech update and future updates. Also can't wait to meet Carmine.
