Big February Book Update!

No.... Thomann were awesome and invited me but I preferred not to go. Even though they said repeatedly that I wouldn’t have to create any content for it, I felt that it wouldn’t be fair to them not to do so, and yet that i couldn’t make the kind of videos I like to make over there. Seemed like fun though ... it would have been fun to spend time with the others for sure, and I’m certainly enjoying watching what they’re making!

Hey Ziv-are you at Thomann this week with all the other tubers?

The BARP with its extra functionality is definitely interesting and yes it would be interesting to see your take and thoughts on these reissues. Agreed about the CS80/DD sounds being processed and obtainable through other pieces. I think with enough play, with all that is available to us these days, any sound is achievable. Beyond the sounds it is also about the physical experience and the enjoyment of for us all. I mean who doesn’t have gear lust and love a obtaining something new? Thanks again!

Thanks so much for your comment! I use scopes by Melda in the QPAS video and also VCV scope every now and then. KARP is interesting indeed and I put it on the cover because I like it visually, but in light of Behringer's clone it might be cheaper for me to check that one when it comes out... I've not played with Deckard's dream yet - I think it's really nice but I believe the sounds that many of us attribute to it is to a large extent a factor of the reverb and delay applied to it, and similar results can be obtained with other synths. But if I get a chance to check out Deckard's I will surely do it anyway!

Thank you so much for your output. I couldn't justify not supporting with al the tips I have gotten and this book has been blowing my mind since I started reading it last night. It kept me up and is not helping me focus at work right now. Your videos prompted me to pick up 0-Coast, DFAM and a BeatStep pro. I see that you have a picture of the KARP Odyssey for your image header, which is the first synth I picked up. There are alot of videos out there, but I'd be curious to see your take on it as well as making use of it with other euro pieces. I just ordered the QPAS, so really looking forward to running the KARP through that. Out of curiosity what oscilloscope(s) are you using for your videos. I use LIVE for all my recordings, and use a MAX Oscilloscope, but its just not as visually engaging as whatever you are using. I noticed that there are slight blips of color in the one you used in the QPAS video. As for the CS-80, have you played with Dekard's Dream by any chance? Great work and thank you.
