Faderfox EC4 review + got MIDI questions?

I've not tried it but I'm optimistic that you won't need to disable Overbridge - just have Ableton speak to the mioXL and through that to Digitakt. But again, it's just an idea, I have not tried it

btw this applies to Analog Four MKII, Digitone, Analog Heat MKII, and Digitakt

Indeed over USB on MacOSX and Ableton the gear only responds to channel one although the Elektron device settings are according to recommendations found on the elektronauts forum, ie mapping all the tracks individually to midi channels 1-8 and set auto channel to 10. I think you are right that the classical midi DIN connections may enable to access all the channels. I have an iConnectivity mioXL that could provide a solution, but then I would need to disable the USB overbridge function and need a lot more cables...

I'm on it!

.. and thanks for your ongoing support!

Hi Geert, I've actually never tried overbridge and MIDI over the same USB cable - does it not work on the latest overbridge/OS versions? That does seem odd. If indeed Elektron confirms this doesn't work and it's not an OS issue, the only workaround I can think of is to buy a USB MIDI interface and use that through the 5 PIN MIDI jacks of your Elektron gear

On basic midi stuff what I am struggling with is accessing the 8 midi channels on Elektron gear from controllers like Komplete Kontrol, Push, or Maschine, AND while using the Overbridge plugin.

Thank you so much, a MIDI basics addition would be very beneficial! Trying to learn & understand MIDI has been a difficult task for me, so I am really looking forward to your interpretation because your teaching style & pace is really easy to comprehend. Thanks again!
