I don't think Sunrise's mom liked Hazelnut all that much đ
I had originally intended Sunrise and her mom to have a lot more contention but then when it came down to it, her mom had some thoughtful things to say to her... that really, Sunrise was ready to start moving on, but needed a little push in the right direction, rather than Sunrise feeling like she wasn't good enough

Ouch. I feel like however this goes now, it's going to boomerang back a lot harder someday, either with a confrontation between Sunrise and Mom or, harder still, Sunrise and Hazelnut. Even if Hazelnut really didn't do anything majorly wrong but they just weren't meant to last a lifetime...which might make it more difficult from having less of an excuse to be mad at her.
