GWTB 250K alternative endings
🕑 Added 2017-05-11 18:55:15 +0000 UTC Often times when I'm coming up with ideas for these comics, I tend to just come up with a general idea that I think is funny, rather than exact jokes.Sometimes this means that I end up rewriting stuff in the pages while I'm drawing them. Sometimes even scrapping whole pages and redoing them from scratch when something just isn't really capturing what I wanted.
For this one I just found the idea of making a dyson sphere for stupid thing funny... so I had a bunch of versions of the actual punchline. I thought I'd show you some of the others I came up with for the final panel for fun.

"Get out" ended up being the most 'blunt' which I thought worked the best. There were three that were basically variations of the same theme. The third one I left out being "I don't understand the question."

How did you eventually make the decision for which punchline to use? Personally, I think the first response here to be just as funny as the final version
