There are people that will pay 5 bucks for a backing track, imagine the disappointment when coming here, pay whats to pay and not finding what you said we will find . Again, not saying that it's nothing here, but not what I paid for :(

Hello Cristian, please refer to the latest lesson for an awesome backing track! It's currently not planned to revisit older lessons and to work on extra files for them (I delete all project files a week later, it would be a massive amount of data otherwise) since I'd rather give more helpful input and exercises in the form of new content :) Thanks for understanding, have a great day!

Thank you for this lesson. But, I kinda came here hoping for the backing track from the start of the video with guitar and without the guitar (just the drums), those will be awesome to play along with. Is there another place where I can download those?

I pick the string before sliding, by pausing I mean just taking a break before the transition, and the choice of the finger depends on what you're playing next (think in the next fingering)! :)

Thanks so much for your timely response. I fell in love with the content and lessons you know. I saw your YT channel and I immediately noticed your technical knowledge and skills. Now, I actually enjoy practicing again. Something's still unclear to me: 1. Do you pick the string first, before sliding? 2. By pausing, you mean just switching to the next 'box' without sliding? 3. At some points I would rather slide with my ring finger, or use different fingers all together (personal preference). Is that okay too?

Thanks a lot for asking that! In case you mean the exercise itself, make sure to check out the video play-alongs I posted (DropBox link is in the post), there you can see it at slower tempos :) The slide is a bit tricky, I use my middle finger to slide but have to use it for the next shape on a different string! You can also pause before the transition, that one is not the most important part of the exercise, it's all about remembering those triad shapes :)

I started practicing again yesterday, after not playing for years. Could you please elaborate about switching/sliding from one position to the next? It seems after playing a cycle, you first hit the first note again and then switch fingers to slide? I can't tell from the video and want to practice the right way

This is good stuff! I tend to do the exact mistake that you talk about. I know I do it and I know in theory how to fix it but I too often fall in that trap anyway. Its great to get lessons and examples so I can practice and hoppfully get rid of this anoying habit.

How do we play that fast hammer/pull pentatonic lick?!?! Great lesson! I've already found a nice little hole in a song where I can do a sweep up one chord and then a lovely slower sweep down the next :) :)
