#48: Biggest Secret To Playing Better Solos!
🕑 Added 2019-12-27 14:00:03 +0000 UTCHello to all my Patrons, hope you're having a great time over the holidays! Of course there is no content break on here - I'm currently on vacation in Colombia but I pre-recorded and scheduled all lessons :) Hope the auto-posting works out.
In this video I show you my personal biggest secret of playing better, interesting and melodic shred guitar solos. I recorded a 'negative' example and an improved take and explain my approach in detail in the video.
Of course I transcribed everything, don't forget to download the files below! This time I also attached the backing track so you can try accenting the chord changes yourself. This is an extremely important exercise, hope you have some fun with it!

Thanks a lot for the feedback Scott, you have a great eye for details - I started writing this lesson in A minor and later changed it to B minor since we worked so much in A aeolian already - missed this detail in the first 'bad' example! If you want to practice this one (great alternate picking workout/practice) please move it up a whole tone or practice to an A minor YouTube jamtrack :) Thanks again for your great feedback, I'll implement it right away as soon as I'm home!

Nice lesson on how to make a solo sound interesting. I'll try to incorporate some of these ideas into my own solos. I'm a little confused about your Take One gp5 and pdf though. It looks like an Am scale instead of a Bm scale. It looks like you were playing a Bm scale in the video though.
