I was thinking more of taunting back, using her own words against or something but also on the other hand being in those situations its harder to think of one on the fly if your nervous. But to each their own.

If Shobu backs down he'd basically not play into her taunt and help Kota up. It's just Yuuki will not make that choice easy for him because she'd see him as a coward either way.

I feel like there should be a 3rd option, not giving into the taunt but not backing down either. You don't have to hit someone to stand against bullying, unless they hit you first then I its fair game then.
