Chapter 4 Update
🕑 Added 2024-09-24 02:47:09 +0000 UTCHowdy guys. Apologies for being quiet for a little while. Late August and September have kept me fairly busy.
But writing has been proceeding well.
I'm happy to share with you the finished background of a mall food court by one of our new additions to the team. This artist will also be making a CG for chapter 4.
The interior of Vincent's home is in its final polishing stage. By our other new hire
Blazar is crafting the background for Vincent's greenhouse.
HAPS has made Misty's sprite, Wattson has them programmed in.
The writing for chapter 4 is 80% complete. I admittedly struggled a bit trying to make the mall scene interesting but I finally have it in a state that I'm really happy with.
I'm really looking forward to giving y'all a chance to know Vincent when he's at home, excited for you to meet Misty and how she fits into the group dynamic.
My optimistic hope right now is to have Chapter 4 to you by the end of October, early November.
We're really getting to the point where we have enough illustrated backgrounds to narrow the time between full builds.
I will always prioritize quality over speed, but we are all working hard to make builds more timely on average.
As for Excursions, I'm so elated it was received well. The next side story we will convey through this platform, is focused on Aldric, Misty, and Devon. Set before Cody moves to Aspen Hollow.
On a journey to check out an abandoned lumber mill. Misty follows a lead that she might be able to find a ghost there.

I'm so excited for the next Excursion (and ofc the main build, too.) I love that you do these little side stories that make the world even more rich, deep, and lived in. I can see myself in Aspen Hollow. I can taste the air of 'your' New Orleans, and I feel like both places have a depth and warmth that is rare for any piece of literature these days, especially an FVN.
