February HP Poll Result

In the middle of my only 2 hour period that I don’t have stuff planned today, gonna go over some of the responses and respond, but first, it’s time to end this poll. And since I was torn on which fic to put my votes on, I decided to go with the one that had visibly more votes to try and beat out Fate Touched. That would be the Kuroinu fic, so let’s see if it helped… NOPE.
Fate Touched won, with a vote of 1,420. Not surprising and gratifying in that I like Tolkien’s world, even if a part of me had hoped to see which of the other ideas people were interested in.
The still-unnamed Kuroinu/HP crossover would have come in second place without me, but with me, it was closer, bringing in 1,389.
And in third place, is Harry Saywer. 591. OUCH. I have to wonder if it’s because the pairings still pretty much up in the air, how much time Harry’s gonna be on his own, or the fact no one can really suspend their disbelief enough to like the idea of Harry surviving out on the ocean.
Ah well.
I won’t start work on this until Thursday at the latest. Next three days are going to be crazy in RL, and I want to get a lot of little things done on the fanfic front. I will also be posting the next Journey chapter over on Fanfic for Valentine’s day.

I'm really not salty or anything (well maybe just a little bit, because it was so damn close), but seeing that Fate it's going to be updated two consecutive months, can it be removed from the poll(s) for two months... pretty please with a cherry on top, LOL.

I am definitely interested in the Kuroinu idea but I hope Harry is able to change things enough to prevent the raping from Vult's takeover.

The Harry Sawyer thing might also be the lack of a crossover and people not knowing how to handle one of those lol. Damn shame, I was really looking forward to more of that story. Guess it'll have to wait.

I will probably post another NUMBERS ONLY poll once FILFy is finished. Honestly, at this point, I might... well, we'll see how work on FILFy goes in March.

Damn, harry sawyer seemed so interesting and different. Probably a mix of horny and something properly established being put on the same polls is why it did relatively poorly. But to be fair it is hardly the worst showing for a vote I've seen here

Damn, was hoping for Kuroinu to win. Still, more Tolkien is just as good in my book. But what effect will this result have on the fic after FILFy finishes, will the fact that Kuroinu got second place here mean that it has more of a chance of being the next fic? Or will that be decided by another poll once the time comes?

I'd place good money on Harry Sawyer's reception being a combo of pairing and the time 'alone'.
