Milk in the Future - Chapter 3
🕑 Added 2024-05-17 15:00:10 +0000 UTC“Kelly, this is Vernon,” The doctor said, opening the door to a small, white room. As she filtered in, she looked to the corner of the room where a fat man sat on a table. It was clearly reinforced, because it wasn’t crumbling under his 300 pound girth. He was balding and looked generally sad. They were matching in expression, as neither of them seemed like they wanted to be there.
She looked him up and down. She was actually bigger than he was. She looked very concerned by this.
“Doctor… is he okay?”
The doctor looked over Vernon. He placed one hand on his back, as if to comfort the downtrodden soul before them.
“He’s very malnourished. Could be genetics, could be his diet. It’s hard to say. Clearly, he’s not getting his proper nutrition, or he’d be heavier than 302. Quite frankly, he may be on his death bed at this point.”
“He’s just so… small…” Kelly said.
“You’re right. And we only know one way that works to nurse people back to health, or, at the very least, maintain them so they don’t completely wither away.”
“I know…” Kelly said.
“Vernon, why don’t you come over here and get on your knees,” The doctor said. He did as he was told. It was then that Kelly noticed he was wearing knee pads. This doctor really did think of everything. He was a pro. The small large man got on his knees and looked up at Kelly, his pathetic eyes like a lost puppy.
“Good. Now Kelly, I’ll need you to take off your shirt please.”
Kelly reluctantly pulled off her shirt, not really wanting to commit to this, but knowing it was a medical practice, and so therefore had to be done. Her gigantic breasts fell out, little dribbles of milk already working their way out of her saucer-like nipples. It occasionally dripped out and fell on the floor.
“Vernon, go ahead,” the doctor said.
He moved up and grabbed her left nipple with his lips. He started sucking instantly, and after a few seconds, put both hands around it to apply a small squeeze. Milk began shooting down his throat, which you could see as he gulped more and more of it down. Kelly looked away, not wanting to watch this medical practice being performed. She found it awkward and weird, even if it was the current normal. It felt strange, having her huge breast sucked like this, by a complete stranger. It should have been intimate; if they were dating, they may have used this as a form of foreplay. But here, it was being used for nourishment. Nothing more, nothing less, so they say.
“Why does he have to suck it?” asked Kelly. “Why can’t I just squeeze it into bottles and have him drink it there?”
“Good question,” the doctor said. “Kelly, when a person is sucking milk out of a breast, it creates certain hormonal responses that don’t come from simply putting the milk in bottles. It’s a natural human response, and we believe we can get more of what is affecting you out, and put more of that same special ingredient into the patient. It’s that weird symbiosis you feel with him, even though you don’t know him. Whatever that magic is, we try to harness it and pass it on to heal. Understand?”
“I think so,” she said, Vernon still sucking away at her exposed breast.

Kevin raised his hand down at the end of the bar. He was behind a happy couple flirting, and he wasn’t sure if his skinny arm was even visible, but he tried anyway. His night was a trainwreck. Years of research, completely squandered. What was he supposed to do now, research hummingbirds?
Nothing from the bartender.
What’s a guy got to do to get service these days? Did he have to be six feet tall? Did he have to be a woman with a prodigious chest? How was he supposed to even survive in this world, let’s be real? He was a small man in what could only be a big man’s world, and it was only growing bigger. The monster next to him had to be at least 6’2, and he didn’t even seem that tall. Kevin was just very short.
People like Kevin got shut down nonstop. We have to close a project, let’s just get rid of Kevin’s project. He knew they made up some garbage about safety or whatever, but that was all bullshit.
Still nothing.
“Can I get a little service here?” he asked.
The music was really loud in here. He bet he could get murdered in here and nobody would notice. One moment, he would be asking for a drink. The next, after some struggle and a mighty scream, he would be a small puddle of blood and a slowly spinning bar stool, and everyone would keep hanging out like nothing was wrong.
“Excuse me!?” he asked loudly, expecting the bartender to finally take notice of the short man wanting a drink.
Instead, the man next to him talking to a woman spun around in his stool, and the beer sitting in his mug accidentally shot out and all over Kevin. The foamy liquid drenched him, all over his face and all over his shirt, to the point he looked like he just finished swimming in it. He pushed the sticky beer out of his face and rubbed his eyes, but he really wished he hadn’t. The rest of the bar was laughing at him, including the man, and including the woman he was with. He could tell they were trying not to, and were trying their best to be concerned citizens, but both of them were failing miserably. They couldn’t help but laugh harder and harder as he almost fell off of his booth trying to get the beer out of his eyes.
He stumbled out of the bar, almost the same way he would have had he even had a single beer. There was a rage inside him, a rage that he fought against all the way back home. He had a strong desire to crush something, to mangle a face. But he knew it was all futile. He was an ant in a world of anteaters.

“There’s no other way,” the doctor said to Ariel, the massive girl with even bigger breasts. He stared at them with such interest. It was his job to work with extremely… well endowed women. They were always also very overweight. They were usually a lot uglier. This woman was actually quite beautiful, hiding behind extreme layers of fat, though everyone these days did. He could tell this wasn’t the answer she wanted to hear. Her face was strained, and she had those eyes that said there has to be another way.
But he wasn’t in the business of lying.
“Doctor…” Ariel said, holding her massive breasts. She couldn’t find the words. She hated arguing. She hated conflict. But these huge boobs had haunted her all of her adult life, and she just wanted a solution.
“I’m sorry, Ariel,” he said. “Look, I have a lot of literature around it I can send you home with, and I want to assure you; you’re doing the right thing. You’re going to help a man in need, you know?”
He sized her up, observing her more than ample bosom.
“Maybe a few men in need, really…”
“Ugh, my boyfriend doesn’t want me doing this,” she said. “He thinks it’s… weird.”
“The pamphlet should help with that,” he said. “I know there’s something inherently sexual about it, but there doesn’t have to be. It’s not that kind of solution, I promise. Your experience with whomever you help will be entirely platonic, I promise you.”
“Well, I could give it a try, I guess…” she said, taking the pamphlet and reading the front cover to herself.
BREASTFEEDING: A MEDICAL PROCEDURE
Just then, the door to the room burst open. There was a fat nurse, though fat at this point is redundant; they’re all fat. The doctor looked up, concern showing through the rims of his glasses.
“Nurse Yeaston, what is the meaning of this?”
She almost seemed out of breath. Her face was red and completely flustered. It was almost like she had just seen a ghost.
“Doctor…” she said, still panting. “We need milk… a LOT of milk.”
“Whatever do you mean?”
She handed the doctor a form, and he took it and gave it a once over. His eyes widened, almost to the point of bulging out of his skull. Ariel was confused by all of this, and she never expected the doctor to be taken aback this far.
“Th-This must be a mistake…” he said. “A typing error. Somebody in med bay messed up, there’s just no way…”
“No Doctor,” she said. “I’ve seen him. He’s real.”

Kevin tried desperately to get the beer out of his hair and skin. The shower was helping, but somehow his mood had only gotten worse. You would think he would have calmed down by now; public embarrassments should wear off once you’re alone. It’s not like anyone knew him there or anything. He was a nobody, a nothing. And when something happens to a nothing, nothing really happened, right? That sounded like a wise, rhetorical question, and it actually made him more angry as he scrubbed away.
If he was really a nothing, if nothing he did or was done to him really mattered, then what the fuck was the point of it all?
He would work really hard on a project. They would cancel it. He would study all of his life away. They would ignore it. He would create the most exciting experiment. They wouldn’t test it-
He dropped his loofa.
Nobody cared about him. And the people they did care about… they didn’t want to test the machine. The social algebra was running through his brain. They were all afraid of the machine. Kevin was not. In fact, he was completely confident it would work. Hell, they may not even know anything about how to turn it on… or off.
The rage burning inside of him subsided. There was now a path forward. Come to think of it, it was the only path forward.
