🕑 Added 2022-02-21 06:52:55 +0000 UTCMan, I worked my balls off on this one. Normally, once I finish a video script, it takes me *at least* a week to record and edit it, but this one I did in five days. Five and a half days, actually. The last day was an 18-hour editing marathon.
These Tonkatsu reviews are still very new to me, but I think I'm finally getting a formula down in terms of the editing and delivery. In terms of the material, I love being able to talk about whatever I want and not being constrained by a particular topic. I love writing jokes, and it's nice to have so much freedom. I've never had this much fun making content.
My next review was going to be Beastars, but I had to scrap it and rewrite it. It was just a messily-written video. That's still coming eventually, just needs to be reworked. However, I do have another script for different video already written, so that'll be out be the end of the month.
I never know what to talk about in these posts, and I'm pretty sleep-deprived, so this all might be nonsense.
Thank you to everyone who joined me here on patreon this month, and thanks to all the OGs who are still here. I know I always say it, but I can't stress it enough: I literally couldn't do this without you guys. Someday I hope to actually make money off of youtube ads and not have to ask for donations, but until then you guys are this channel's lifeblood, and I can't thank you enough.

Though some "purists" wouldn't count them as anime (and I guarantee not a single one of them is Japanese, fuck purist gatekeepers), consider some of the Miyazake movies? i.e. Spirited Away, Princess Mononoke, Kiki's Delivery Service, My Neighbor Totoro. The contrast, especially with Kiki's and Totoro, would be delicious.

One of my other favorite tractors/reviewers Sun Wukong was also super pissed when Juju showed up. So was I honestly lol. Funny you brought up Haruhi btw because at some point there's a throwaway line in the manga -- "There was a time when a lot of customers asked me to make a bunny outfit because they idolized a certain anime where a girl performed in their cultural festival band dressed as a bunny girl." Btw Hitagi Senjougahara is #1 waifu of all time

Watch SAO abridged!!! JK I couldn't resist. :-) Tbh I haven't even watched it myself. @topic: I also do hope that there'll be more Anime with characters actually declaring love for each other and progressing their relationship beyond that instead of everything being awkward forever because that's been done to death. Almost wrote relationshit there. Which is what endless awkwardness is. Anyway, the review was interesting and your jokes are fun as always, but the Anime is not my kind of thing. I just finished Mieruko-chan (the girl who can see super scary-looking ghosts, but tries her best to ignore them). That was fun and so intense.
