My high school did every 15 mins! We had the car accident, they recorded it and we had a whole assembly and everythingggg. We all went to a hotel for a day, they took our phones and we couldn’t contact anyone for a whole day so that it felt “real” for everyone else. They even had the sheriff go to my mom’s college class to let them know that I had “died” and she bursted into tears. My best friend even called my phone and left me a voicemail bawling her eyes out because it was so real. Definitely stuck with me a decade later and yes it is sooooo morbid but I completely understand why they do it.

My parents literally had the police come over and tell them I was dead and ever since then I have not Ever drank and drive and I think it’s because of that program but yes, being involved in that program is a little traumatic being one of I guess the actors that took part In it. For the week I was gone we were basically taken to the courthouse the jail and done a whole bunch of exercises of what not to do to drink and drive and the consequences that come within that

omggg yea i def had a bit of a good cop bad cop- i mean i am 19 so i can still get in trouble lmao- but my dad is a literal cop and my mom is a huge catholic. when i got sick and blackout for the first time, i lost one of his metal cooking bowls. i felt so guilty, but lied to my dad. months later i ended up sobbing to my mom confessing about the whole thing and how i have no clue where the bowl went, and idk i felt sooo guilty. i expected her to be furious as again she was a ~huge~ catholic, she was so sweet to me when i confessed- she bought me tropical smoothie and told me she was disappointed and yada yada. fast forward a week or so and i reveal it to my dad...or so i thought lol...he knew from the second he got home the next morning after work. he laughed about it and said yk the usual and then "nobody got hurt? the cops werent called? its expected your a teen" so yk they didnt endorse it but they were somewhat understanding. but oh lord- their reactions were funny to think about. when im a mom i cannot wait to see what the tantrums the kids will have over the years, cuz for me..i was the most dramatic ever (still am) OH and my dad held the bowl thing over me for a while but i finally ended up getting a metal cooking bowl set for his xmas gift a year or so later lollll.

there was this documentary about a drunk driver who hit a school bus full of kids and a couple adults from a church group in 1988, he killed 27 kids and 3 adults. ill never forget, when i got into highschool and started to want to go to parties, my parents sat me down and made me watch that documentary. ever since i watched it i refuse to drive even if ive just had a sip of alcohol. the driver was intoxicated and driving in the wrong lane that was heading towards oncoming traffic. not only was the accident horrific itself, but the bus bursted into flames. law enforcement who had to respond to the scene have ptsd to this day, its pretty graphic to explain but let me just say those who died… it was not a quick and peaceful death.

If I had graduated from the high school I had previously attended before moving, the mascot was the Tasmanian devil and we were the Saints. Our school has done prom on a boat for years. My grade, Class of 2012 was the first year they didn’t do it on a boat so that they can kick people out as needed because our grade was ROTTEN. That year someone chucked a ruler & a kid went partially blind. Kids made teachers cry. Someone pulled the fire alarm. Someone stole over $100 from a student & we had to have a lockdown until someone admit it. There were rumours that people were going to spike drinks at prom. I’m like Remi’s parents. Kids are going to do stuff so the best thing you can do is educate them. We always have the “if you drink, don’t drive or ever get into a car with someone drinking. Also, always go with people who have your back.” I also said call me if you need me. I made sure to make a strong point of maintaining honesty and trust. If you’re honest the consequences will be way less that than WHEN I find out that you lied. The school car crash thing was so real. My school put on a entire play. They got cars that were in a wreck. The theater kids did the play wearing prom outfits and used fake blood. My high school was the Kings and the middle school was the knights. One old tradition at my high school was for the senior class to plan in secret to come to school at night and spray paint the road next to the school and the main school driveway and parking lot. A few years before I graduated, the city council banned the painting of the road as it wasn't school property, but we could still do the driveway and parking lot. My class of 2012 took things too far, painted more than they should have. The next school day there was an announcement calling kids (who had signed their names and were shown painting non-approved places) to the front office to be charged with vandalism and have their parents called. The school had to pay thousands of dollars to sandblast the graffiti off. The school almost banned prom and senior skip day. Thankfully the school chose not to remove this tradition for the following years, but it was highly regulated, with it no longer being in secret at night, and it had to be done as an entire class with teacher supervision.
