Changes in the 3D Model Release Process
🕑 Added 2024-08-13 06:28:50 +0000 UTCI believe everyone is now aware that Apple will charge a 30% App Store fee on any subscription payments made through the Patreon iOS app. If you are currently subscribing to Patreon via the Apple app, please cancel your subscription and resubscribe through any web browser at https://www.patreon.com/skylu3design to avoid paying the additional 30% unnecessary fee to App Store.
Regardless, the situation with Patreon and Apple's App Store fees is now a reality, and we can only make the necessary adjustments. To adapt to Patreon's new subscription billing system, I must revert back to the previous monthly design release model.
August Release:
3D files will be released according to the per existing plan.
The monthly archive summary will be sent to your Patreon email on September 2nd.
September Release:
New 3D model files will be sent to your Patreon email on October 2nd.
This will include the full monthly archive and summary for September.
Merchant Tier Members:
Early Bird Access will be enabled.
Subscribers will be able to download completed 3D models on the 15th of each month, allowing for better management of their online store businesses.
This sudden change is not something I wished for, as we have all started to get used to and enjoy the current 3D model release system. I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
Let's believe that everything changes for a good reason for our future.

I'm not. I refuse to buy any Apple products! I thought the only way to pay was through the Patreon website.

It’s not going to impact to income. I made this change to protect all the current subscribers because there might be scene who subs in the middle of the month possible to appear in both my September and October as “active” membership list. I could be sending them two months files or something crossing over stuff like that. To avoid that kinda scenario I’d just revert back the release like our old time.

This isn't making sense, you said you have to do this because of Patreon updating their billing model, but that change only affects new users on iOS after November, which means you won't be affected by this until people sign up after November on iOS. You make it sound like you're going to lose 30% of your income from this but you're clearly not going to, what gives?

Yes, but we need to make some fair benefit to any new comer when they subs in the middle of the month still.

I got the same email. It only applies to new signups after November via the app and not existing memberships.

Correct bro! For the amount of release nothing still the same. Just you when pledge in September and get it on 2nd October. And yup, all at once thing.

What's the difference between this and how you normally do things? To me it looks like in August, you send things along as you complete them, but then in September you're going to hold them until October 2nd and release them all at once? Am I understanding that right?
