7/8 Update (I yet live!)
🕑 Added 2023-07-08 14:41:45 +0000 UTCGreeting from our new (and very empty) place!
Since my last post, we packed our entire lives up and moved a thousand miles to Philadelphia, where they haven’t passed any laws making our existence or healthcare illegal.
It’s already been nice, and will be better for us in the long term, but the whole process has also been kind of A Lot. I’m writing this from the mobile app because we’re sitting on an air mattress in our empty home waiting for the truck with our stuff to arrive and our internet to be hooked up.
We’ve still got a lot of unpacking and general relocation business ahead of us, but I have some comic ideas to chip away at between tearing open boxes I just spent the past few months meticulously filling.
Thank you all again for your patience during this rough time.

Eeeeee! Welcome to Philly! The trans community here has been fantastic and has helped me grow leaps and bounds since coming out. You’re in an amazing place.

The hardest part is done; waiting for the truck is annoying but once it's there, the unpacking will happen on your schedule. And then there's the EXPLORING of your new surroundings! Good stuff ahead for you both :)

Welcome to the state! Normally it's less... smoky.

Just hope you stay safe, and make sure that you don't injure yourself moving stuff.

Yay! Glad to hear you're now in a state that's not antithetical to your existence ❤️. I was wondering how you were doing now that social media has fragmented.

I also grew up in the greater Philadelphia (Delaware and other suburbs) region. It's a pretty good place to be, all things considered. Glad the move went well, best of luck to youse guys.

Don't let the intercity rivalry fool you, my hometown of pittsburgh is really good. PA is a good state for LGBT+ people and I hope it stays that way.

Glad to hear you're still alive! Take care of yourself and get some rest.

Glad you’re someplace safe now. Take your time and get settled in.

The City of Brotherly Love is an excellent choice and I know so many LGBT+ folks who live there or nearby there. Fair fame and fortune to you and your found family at this new home and hold.

As someone who grew up in the area I might be just slightly biased, but Philly is an amazing city and super LGBTQ friendly. Good luck with getting settled and welcome to the area.

Happy to hear you're doing reasonably okay! Hope things settle down at a reasonable pace!

I'm glad you're somewhere safe! Hopefully everything else falls back into place now that the most important part is done 💜

Good luck! Make sure there is plenty of space for the truck to park so that the movers don't have an excuse to go once around the block, drop off one item, then return to their lair so they can charge you AGAIN to get your stuff delivered! But, I'm not bitter...
