Update 3/31/23
🕑 Added 2023-03-31 15:56:43 +0000 UTCHey gang,
Sorry for the radio silence recently, but it's been a real month.
The same day I posted my previous comic, my state passed multiple anti-trans laws, with more surely on the way. My spouse and I have been talking about the political/social climate here for a while, and this was the last straw; we're moving somewhere safer.
While being somewhere else will be a good thing in the long run, it's also been very difficult, even in these early steps. I've been struggling to find motivation to do much of anything, much less make comics.
I hope to have something to share with you all soon, thank you for your patience and support.

Take all the time you need. <3 Being safe is much more important, especially given the state of the politics in the US right now. I know the frozen north doesn't seem very appealing, especially in regards to the weather differences between where you are and here, but MN is at least worth taking a look at when it comes to a safe haven for trans folks like ourselves. Not sure if the offer is appreciated, but if you do head up this way and need some help, feel free to message either way. Would love to help out a sis and someone whose helped a ton. :)

Take your time to find a place where both of you feel safe and are safe. We'll be here whenever you're able to come back. Making sure real life isn't being a horror is the most important thing.

Get somewhere safe first. The comics can come later when you are in a better situation.

I hope things turn out well for you wherever you decide to go. Do you have any ideas where you might go?

It pains me but I'm getting to that point as well. I've lived in Memphis/Nashville my entire life, but for my safety and the safety of my family I feel like it's necessary to leave. I don't want to leave, but if it keeps us safe it's worth it.

Dear Robin: As a fellow Queer Volunteer, I deeply understand why you and your partner must do this. If I did not have equity in the house in Tullahoma, I would be heading to somewhere safer than here right now as many of my other chosen family are. That said, my kitchen table polycule plans on leaving this state within the next 3-5 years anyways. Mainly for the Anti-Trans and anti-abortion laws but also because they cut the Metro Nashville Council in half, effectively rendering this state a one-party state. Yours in light and love, Dharma

Sorry to hear this. It's really hard to see whats happening in the US :( I wish you all luck for moving to a safer place. And take all the time you need for moving, processing and handling this stuff. No need to worry about us but thanks for the info. *hugs* if you want.

Going through the same, discussing with my spouse a safer place to move. Do what you need to! ❤️

Right there with you, out and trans in Nashville. Not handling being so invisible on TDOV

No worries Robin! It’s a scary time for all of us. Take care of yourself and make sure you’re safe and okay mentally before you start worrying about us.
