That is EXACTLY what I was thinking about.. he had a ring of cosmic string around the portal but I was thinking of what a 4dimensional portal might actually look like.. its hard to really get to grips with.. I've seen cool simulations on YouTube of a "real" wormhole which I'm using as reference but I want to make it a bit more flashy and colourful too .. like maybe a 4 dimensional shape is rotating through our space and you can go into the red shifted part.. but stuff might come out of the blue part from.. elsewhere.. I dunno its just something I've been chewing on .. ring is a banger story i loved all them. Times a good one too that has nothing to do with xeelee but some similar themes
