Final Burn Alpha - stable netplay and savestate support!
🕑 Added 2017-03-23 06:42:00 +0000 UTC All the Final Burn Alpha cores now have cross-architecture savestate support! This means that:- savestates can now be reliably saved and loaded
- you can netplay with popular systems like Capcom CPS1/2/3, NeoGeo, etc.
- You can even netplay across architectures now. For instance, in a peer to peer game, one can be running a 32bit PC while another one is using a 64bit system, or a 32bit Android system connecting to a 64bit PC, etc.
- We have even made a tweak to the savestate code so that Capcom CPS3 games will perform faster. The only downside of this is that during the first round you will see a black background, but every other subsequent fight after this will look normal. This means you can play fullspeed netplay sessions of games like Street Fighter III (all three versions), Warzard and Jojo!
Have fun playing your favorite Street Fighter games and related fighters with RetroArch netplay! We hope that netplay in RetroArch will become a Fightcade/Kaillera alternative!

I'm agree with you. I hope to see new and big improvements too. I love playing online arcade games!

This is really great news. I feel arcade netplay is more important than any other core/nature due to the pick up and play nature of it. Hoping to see more folks use it.
